Nachtrag von Corey Pronman aus der Athletic Hockey Show:
ZitatLeo Carlsson going 2nd overall may have been a surprise in the moment, but I felt like that was something that was a building consensus in the league. The majority of the league still thought Adam Fantilli was the 2nd-best prospect in the draft, but there was a significant contingent of people in the league who felt like Carlsson was at minimum in the conversation or should be the 2nd-best player in the draft. And the conversation always came down to hockey sense and that Adam Fantilli's hockey sense wasn't a liability but it wasn't a major asset. Which is scary at 2nd overall. You can't really go through a whole lot of 2nd-overall picks, except for Quinton Byfield, which is an example some people who are Fantilli sceptics would use, where that is a true statement, where they don't have great hockey sense. That's where the debate came in.
